Chipboard
Chipboard is primarily low-cost cardboard or paperboard used to make cartons and boxes where good appearance and sturdiness are not required. Chipboard is made of different types of unbleached paper stock where surfaces may be coated with manila paper to make folding cartons. Manila-coated chipboard can be saturated with wax or paraffin for paper plates and other products. Chipboard lined with newspaper can be used for shirt boards and cheaper boxes lined with better-quality paper for candy and cosmetic boxes.

SBS Board or Solid Bleached Sulfate (SBS) Board, Paperboard
Made from recycled paper that is glued together to form one large material, SBS Board is the highest quality and most expensive paperboard substrate produced for high-end packaging. It is produced from bleached virgin fiber and is high-gloss white with a smooth surface with a lesser stiffness ratio for a more flexible carton or box. SBS Board is also easier to print on than many other types of paper stock.
